Processing Purposes

Gheeraert collects and processes the personal data of contacts at customers and suppliers for customer and order management (including customer administration, follow-up of orders/deliveries, invoicing, solvency follow-up, profiling, and sending marketing and personalized advertising). For this, we process your name, first name, address, telephone number, mobile number, language, email address, function, IP address, cookies, bank account number, etc.

Our potential new customers show interest in our services, and we want to keep them informed about them. For communication with them, we process the following personal data: name, first name, telephone number and/or mobile number, email address, IP address, and cookies.
 

Legal Grounds for Processing

Contractual Relationship

Personal data is processed based on our (pre)contractual relationship and all related legal obligations and is necessary for the pursuit of our legitimate interest to conduct business.

Contact Form

Your contact details may be processed by the Data Controller to provide you with feedback on a question, request, or complaint. The following data will then be processed: your name, company name, VAT number, telephone number, email address, and a description of the question, request, or complaint.

Surveillance Camera Images are Stored Temporarily

We may use cameras in and around our buildings. If they are surveillance cameras, we respect the legal rules. You can recognize the buildings under camera surveillance by a clearly visible sticker.

Image recordings are kept for a maximum of 30 days. Exceptions to this are:

  • if the recorded images are useful for proving a crime or nuisance
  • to prove damage
  • to identify a perpetrator, a witness, or a victim

The processing is carried out under our legitimate interest to protect our buildings and other properties against, for example, burglary, damage, etc.
 

PERSONAL DATA IN THE CONTEXT OF WHISTLEBLOWER LEGISLATION

Within the framework of its "Whistleblower Policy," we, in our capacity as data controller, may process the following personal data: name, position, contact details, company number of the reporter (if not anonymous), of persons involved (i.e., accused persons), of third parties connected to the reporter, of facilitators, of the case handler.

We do not process special categories of personal data of the reporter. If special categories of personal data were to be processed, this personal data will be processed with the necessary security and in accordance with the appropriate legal basis.
 

Sharing of Personal Data

We undertake not to pass on, sell, or make your personal data commercially available to third parties without your express consent.
 

Retention Period

The personal data processed for customer and supplier management will be kept for the period necessary to comply with legal requirements (including in the field of accounting).

For applicants, we keep the personal data for up to 5 years after the selection procedure has been completed in the event of non-recruitment. We initially keep the personal data of our prospects for 5 years. If there has been contact between us and the prospect during this period, a new period of 5 years will start from this contact.
 

Right of Access, Rectification, Erasure, Restriction, Objection, and Portability of Personal Data

You have the right to access your personal data at any time and can have it corrected if it is incorrect or incomplete, have it deleted, have its processing restricted, and object to the processing of your personal data on the basis of Article 6.1. (f), including profiling based on those provisions.

Furthermore, you have the right to obtain a copy (in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format) of your personal data that you have provided to us and to have the personal data transferred to another company.
